How long does it take for someone to contact me when an alarm is triggered?
The trained team at SAMS will respond after approximately 30 seconds, activating your emergency response plan nominated at the time of installation and commission of your new security monitoring system.
Are the emergency services contacted automatically?
When we set up your new office alarm monitoring system, you will be able to nominate a security contact as the first point of call when an alarm is triggered. You then have the option for a patrol guard to be sent to your business location, and/or for emergency services to be contacted on your behalf. Or, if the duress button is pressed, emergency services will be contacted instantly and dispatched to your office address.
Will having a home security system installed lower my insurance premiums?
Yes, having a monitored alarm system installed in your office will enable you to access lower home and contents insurance premiums.
Am I covered by a warranty?
We offer a 10-year installation warranty on our services. Permaconn alarm panels come with a 2-year product warranty.
Do you charge for repairs?
If your alarm panel fails within its product warranty system, we will replace it for you at no charge. If it fails outside of the warranty period, we can quote you a repair cost to get your alarm system back up and working once again. Common requests for servicing and repairs to alarm systems in the office include battery changes, sensor repairs and alarm panel repairs.
Does the home monitoring system work indoors and outdoors?
The business security alarm monitoring system described above is designed for protecting the inside of your office or warehouse, and are most often triggered by door alarm sensors, window alarm sensors or motion sensors. Motion sensors would not work outdoors, as they are at risk of being set off by a passing animal, insect or vehicle.

Are there limits to the size of an office or warehouse that this system will cover?
The system will cover as many rooms in your office as you have sensors installed, be they motion-activated sensors, door or window sensors.
How long does it take to install the monitoring system at a business?
It can take as little as an hour for us to install your new business alarm monitoring system. Prior to our visit, you will need to provide us with a list of alarm zones within your property, to ensure we are able to understand the layout of your alarm system and to make our visit as quick and efficient as possible.
Can the system be hacked?
It’s highly unlikely that this type of alarm system would be hacked. Be sure to keep your mobile app secure to ensure no one obtains unauthorized access to your home alarm system.
